I only water early morning and late evening. Mid day you are just burning the plants and wasting water. Be sure to give a good deep soak at the root line.
Early morning before complete sunrise or late afternoon right before sunset.

Late evening, this way it give it all night to drain down to the doors without it being so hot during the day.
