Water pooling in street- any ideas how to correct ?

It is most probably an issue with the drainage for the road. If the water is pooling near your yard or an area of grass, it would help to dig a bit to allow the ground to absorb the water.Helpful Reply -

You'll have to take that up with the city or town's department of public works. They will come out on a nice sunny day and find no problem.Helpful Reply -

When this happened at my parents home they called the city. The city came out and drilled a few holes in the street. It drain just fine after that.Helpful Reply -

This happened to my parents home. When the contractor laid the street out he was off by only an inch, but the effect was a large pond in front of my parents house since they were in the middle of the city block (especially bad in winter). Be nice and contact the city, take pictures of your problem and ask if they like to live with this mess.It's the city's responsibility to maintain streets since your paying taxes.Helpful Reply -
