Digging is out of the question. A power digger is almost useless against my clay.

Put down some soil in the hollow with a lot of clay in it so it doesn’t wash away then put some grass seed on it. Try and Push the seed into the soil though so it doesn’t get washed away either.
Hi May! We solved a similar problem by rerouting our gutter drainage. No more soggy spot!
Something that is done in Florida--putting pine needles on top of the grass seed. Keeps them from washing away and keeps the birds from eating the seeds.
