Churn the soil, and add some fertilzer.
Remove any weeds that may have found a home. Good time to add compost and dig it in.

Hi Glenda! My husband and I have been growing the most delicious tomatoes for years. To prepare the soil we use compost mixed in with the soil first. We add 2 cups of Epsom Salt to the bottom of the hole and place the tomato plant and fill it in. I hope that helps.
