bright yellow,navy blue,red
I have used spray paint that will make plactic planters look like ther look like they are made of ceramic stone and they are so much lighter if you want to move then.
Yellow or Brown would look nice. Look at the color chart and see what colors are opposite the shade of blue. That is the one that will look the best.
Crimson & bright yellow
Ah, first make sure, if you have an HOA, that there aren't any colors you can't use as décor. Then determine what you want to grow, if you're going to use mulch and any other colors that you have outside - like shutters or your door, the walk, etc. Now you've got a working palate. You want to compliment the colors you DO have. Personally, I'd try to match the door color or door mat or shutters or even the garage door.
Darker blue, white, hunter green. Go to a color wheel - probably one on line - and look there for opposites that might go with your light blue.
I was always told to use one dark or black piece to "anchor" your set up. I have noticed if too many colors are used it looks like a fiesta. I would stick with two or three colors. Good luck!
Dianalempe: Please let me know what type of paint you used and what name brand if you remember! Thanks!
