if mine goes in whole, I chop it up with my shovel when I turn it over, you need to do that 4 times a year
Run thru a blender quickly then add to your compost pile. The smaller the ingredients are that you add to your compost pile the quicker you get finished compost. I always remember that it takes 3 mths for manure to begin breaking down. Once it all matures you've got excellent soil for your garden!
You can just throw it in whole and let biology and nature take its course. It will break down on its own
