Call your county agricultural agent and ask for advice. That's what they are there for.

When I built my raised beds, I put about 1/3 native soil, !/3 manure or good compost, and about 1/3 peat moss. Mix well and add lime in the spring a few weeks before planting. Don't forget to rotate crops each planting to keep nitrogen good. The peat was needed because of my heavy clay soil. Check with local master gardeners at an extension office.

It depends upon what you want to grow.Different plants/shrubs require different nutrients for optimum growth. Yes, call or visit your county extension office.
