We use Miracle Gro on all our gardening, however, roses especially love potassium to bloom. Each time we eat a banana, we put the old peeling behind the rose bush out of sight to feed them. If you do not want peelings in the garden, you can puree them in the food blender with a little water and pour it at the base. Also, our area is dry, so we use 2 inches of mulch to hold the moisture on the roots. Roses love sunshine, so be sure they are in sunshine most of the day!

I use a 10-10-10 or a 12-12-12 granular each year on mine, Miracle Grow (the kind you mix with water) a few times during growing season. They both work well.

Most garden stores sell fertilizer stakes for knockout roses. The bag I purchased is made by Jobes.

I use liquid fertilizer like Miracle Gro every two weeks until established or during peak blooming season. You can also put fertilizer beads in the soil close to the roots - they are time release and should last a few weeks minimum. Water frequently, especially during peak heat and sun periods.
