small succulents are always good, and there are so many varieties that you can get a pretty varied look.

This is a tough one. I have had minimal success with a miniature thyme and a very low growing culinary oregano. You could probably try a single-blade-type grass seed and keep it trimmed with scissors. If you want to keep your fairy garden adorable and well hidden (fairys are shy) I would go easy on myself and do it in silk greenery that will always look adorable. My grandson LOVES the one he made with almost everything purchased at Hobby Lobby.

I think a small misty fern would be nice, and rye grass with spooky looking succulents that are larger than any furniture and other props you use. If you use silk or plastic plants, you still could use live grass and a taller plant. Best wishes 😇
