Learn how to turn an old book into a planter for your succulents or cacti.
I love books, a little too much perhaps. Does anyone else find it hard to get rid of books even when you've never have or will read them? Yep, if you're like me then you have to turn to alternate methods to justify keeping all those books around. I bring you the book planter!
For a more detailed explanation, be sure to click the link below. This DIY takes a little over an hour. You want to make sure to have the items listed in the picture above, and make sure that exacto knife is nice and sharp! You're going to be cutting through a lot of pages friends.
Repeatedly cut a rectangle (or square) out of your book until you have at least a two inch deep hole. Glue pages together, then line the hole with plastic and secure with tape on the top page (not the cover). Insert your plant with soil, then close the cover over the plant.
Voila! Whatever plant you choose, be sure it's one that doesn't require a lot of water. Give your plant lots of loving and congratulate yourself for saving another book!
