I am jumping on the succulent train! I picked up a few mini succulents on my last Home Depot visit and found some mini terra cotta pots at the Dollar Tree, so a project was born!
Supplies for Painted Terra Cotta Pots:
Mini terra cotta pots
Acrylic paints
Paint brush
Assorted succulents
This project was so easy, it does not even require much instruction.
I squeezed a couple of dollops of the paint into a paper plate and used the brush to apply it to the pots. I just used one coat because I liked the chalky finish. I decided to paint one yellow and one cobalt blue to match my color scheme on my deck.
Once the paint was completely dry on the pots, I then added a bit of extra cuteness to the bright pots using my Cricut Explore Air cutting Machine to create the words "bloom" and "grow" out of permanent vinyl to apply to the pots.
I planted my succulents in the painted pots and placed them out on my front porch. For more projects like this and to get the full tutorial on cutting out the vinyl words, make sure you are following me at http://www.realgirlsrealm.com
Are you in love with succulents too? What kind of containers do you grow them in?
Enjoyed the project?
