Unless you have a LOT of sunlight, it will be hard. Tomatoes require a lot of light, water, and soil that is made of both soil and sand. These conditions make growing tomatoes inside very difficult, unless you have a balcony or porch, where your plants can have all of the things that it needs to grow.
I don't have a porch or balcony but there is a small backyard. Maybe I should think about container gardening tomatoes. Thanks for your reply. I was hoping to keep the tomatoes inside.
Connie, why not start with smaller tomatoes, like cherry or plum? The plants are slightly smaller. Also, try a grow light, which I failed to mention. Tomatoes are my favorite, so I can relate to your wanting to grow them any way possible!
You would need a location that gets at least 6 hours of direct sunlight every day. You would also need to hand pollinate the blossom because you don't have bees in your apartment to do that.
