Desk Makeover

When our youngest was born, our office was banished to the living room. I knew I needed to find a desk that could function as our entire office. I found the perfect desk and fell in love. After four years though, this "perfect" desk, which happened to be black, started top feel like a big black hole. It was really weighing that side of our living room down, so I painted it!
The lighter paint has really opened up this side of the room! You can see the big black hole below...
It was a lot of work to paint all those cubbies and such, but I am so glad I did it. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner!
So dark...
Ahh...so light and airy!
I used an assortment of glass and mercury glass knobs.
Even with all my office things moved back, it still feels so much less busy.
I used my DIY chalk paint for this piece, followed by a coat of clear wax. I love you, paint. :)
