DIY Campaign Desk Makeover

$40
4 Hours
Easy
I have been unsuccessful in my efforts to find a vintage campaign desk that doesn't cost an arm and a leg BUT I was able to land this Target knock-off from a yard sale site for $20! Unfortunately, I didn't take a before picture (straight to the paint can for this girl) but trust me when I say that it was an ugly shade of burgundy red with a white top.
I used an amazing Valspar paint color on all of the desk except for the drawers.
In between coats of paint, I painted the 3 handles that were already on the desk and then the additional 90 degree brackets I purchased for a few dollars. All of the hardware was painted rose gold.
The drawers were painted a crisp white and the handles were screwed back into place. I added the 90 degree pieces to the corners of each drawer to give it true campaign style!
I added my vintage metal chair and a fluffy pillow - some Target dollar bin organizers complete the look!
I love my knock-off campaign desk!

It's really cute and I love the colour but why is it called a campaign desk? I have never heard of that. :)
