How can I make my own cell phone charging caddy?

You can use an office organizer, either wood or metal, and run your charging cable through it. I would affix with zip ties that are clear or matching color. Make sure not to pull tightly so you don't go into the protective covering.

You could also make one from wood but I would think it's easier and less expensive than purchasing one.

How many phones or other mobile devices are you wanting to recharge at the same time? If it is just a couple, then keep in mind that regular electrical outlets can be replaced with ones that have usb ports built in. Some come with attached shelves as well.

Depending on your decor style you could decoupage some pretty paper onto an old box or small desk organizer. I also seen people use old jewelry boxes and drill holes in back for the cords.
