French Country A-frame Cottage Tour, Part 2: Bedrooms

Gretchen
by Gretchen
I photographed the first floor of my mother's A-frame cottage way back last summer (and posted some of them on Hometalk last month), and I promised I'd be back with more of the house soon. It only took me nine months or so, but I finally made it out to take pictures of the upstairs: the two bedrooms and the master bathroom.
The bedroom at the front of the house is the guest room/grandkids' room; it has a Nantucket or seaside theme going on, and it might be my favorite room in the house. I love the mismatched beds and all the little nautical touches.
The bedroom in the back of the house is the master--lot of French-inspired furniture and accessories in here.
That's Rosie the Pomeranian on the bed there. My mom works with a dog rescue group and fosters dogs all the time, but Rosie's a permanent resident. Her former owner left her at the shelter when she was 14 (!). That was 3 years ago, and she's still doing great.
I went a little crazy taking pictures this time, so there are lots more (including a few of the master bathroom and the hallway that runs in between the bedrooms) on my blog: http://boxycolonial.com/frame-cottage-tour-part-2-bedrooms/ I still have a few more rooms to photograph to complete the tour.....here's hoping I can get it done a little sooner this time!

Lovely a-frame; don't believe I've ever seen one with so much charm. Bless your mom for her work with dogs...Rosie is certainly lucky. Last year I lost my Sarah, a cat, at age 24. Age brings changes but you just change to accommodate them.
