I do photoshop for a living and thought that I'd give it whirl. A possible inexpensive solution, keeping updates to a minimum and using the existing white garage door and by replacing the shutters with updated ones You get the following. Color scheme: White-garage door Wine-front door and new shutters Butter cream-soffetts and facia *Ornament vertical bush to dress up entry way ball hedges in the areas between windows Lavender, green and white/yellow flowers under the windows to accent the wine colored shutters *Suggest a brass door knocker the center of the door or brass numbers for the door. Also possibly a new brass entry way light (updated.) ~Lastly pressure wash the windows and the beige/white brick to bring back some of the clean look and not look so dingy> extreme would be to bleach the mortar between the bricks. From a landscape standpoint, possibly using varrigated monkey grass on the outside edge of the walk from the garage.

I like Adastra62's suggestions. The main thing that I don't like is your current shutters, one color would be a big improvement. Good Luck, I bet it will be pretty!

Paint shutters grey and front door red.
  • I might paint brick white and paint shutters black.

I do love the wine color. Ignor my other comment about going with a safe brown. Go reddish brown if scared of the color. But once the landscape color is in, it will be beautiful.

I think change out the shutters to some more stylish and paint the ft. Door a bright color to make it pop being its seat so far back, as far as the garage door I may think about going black! Yes Black! I seen this on interior doors and it looks so good I never would have thought it.

I have had several previous customers want to paint their exterior doors black, and other dark colors. You might check with the manufacture 1st because it will void the warranty--particularly entry doors. The extra dark colors will absorb and hold the heat longer, and with say an air conditioned interior during the hot season, will cause the door to warp, blister, and create weather seal problems. I'm not sure about the garage doors, but if they do get direct sun and are a dark color, the heat absorbed will transfer in to the garage.-----Those shutters----WHOA!!-- must paint or remove. Your roof still has 3 tab shingles, while thinking of colors keep in mind a nice color for the roof, in a high definition Architectural composition roof, your existing roof is on the downhill side of its life expectancy, so even if you aren't going to replace it right away, shopping for a texture and color of a roof could also give you some good ideas for trim & door colors, and maybe a solid color for the brick. I've seen some nice outcomes of brick being painted.

since the house is pretty neutral, I would go with a bright warm color. Add some landscaping and voila.
