House facelift

I just purchased this 1960's raised ranch in Wyoming. It is in desparate need of some curb appeal for as little money as possible. I really want to paint the door teal or a blue shade but other than that I'm open to ideas. I can't afford to paint the brick or change the roof color so any ideas would be helpful. Thnaks

Shutters, window boxes, and new hardware always help. Remove any dated hand rails and replace with wood. Paint the porch floor. Pull out any overgrown/unsightly shrubs and leave bare till you can afford new ones.

A few easy ideas: You can get inexpensive decorative house numbers and plates that add a classy, custom touch. Some numbers are peel-and-stick ones and others require you screw them in. Update your mailbox: You could spray paint the old one with a bright color. Also, consider adding a couple of boxwood or other plants on either side of your entry door. Let us know what you do!

Thanks for the ideas. I really wish a photo would upload but you all have now got my creative juices flowing and I'm already feeling better about it. BTW, we are in extremely cold, high desert elevation or 7000 ft so not much grows.
