We bought a pre-built home and the walls and carpets are all a grey color. What can I do to brighten up the rooms. We are planning on putting in a wood flooring next year, but the walls can't be painted. Help

I'm curious also. And by " pre-built" did you mean a manufactured home(i.e. double wide?). Anything can be painted. Just consult with the paint store person for how to do your specific wall covering: be it vinyl, sheetrock, or wood, etc.

Gray is the latest color and there are many grey and yellow diy canvas paintings on line that you can copy. But grey and whatever your favorite color is would look wonderful. My house is all tan and I wish it were gray.

When we owned an old mobile home, hubby didn't bother to take the awful wall paper down, he just painted over it - 2 coats - such a relief! We chose an off white to lighten up the place. It made a big difference! Everything went with it.

Gray is latest craze in color. Pick up colors in accessories, pictures and pillows and you'll be set. You might try changing out some colors by the season - pastels for spring and summer, darker colors for fall and winter.
