Are you working with an agent. When we sold our house, our agent came over and made some suggestions of how to make it "show ready". A thorough cleaning, and then decluttering, and staging areas was something we did
Clean, clean, clean! Remove all personal belongings, patch any holes, a fresh coat of neutral paint, clean up yard. Good luck!

Pack things up ready to move and either leave in garage or storage.
Complete all outstanding odd jobs.
Freshen up your paintwork
De- personalize your home so it will appeal to more folks.
Freshen up your look with new cushions /Rug ?
Re-new or freshen up mastic around Bath/Sink/Shower etc.
General clean up everywhere and replace linen everywhere for viewings.
Cut lawn and tidy garden - adding colour where required.
Paint the front door to make it Pop.
Place Hanging Basket or Tubs by the front door as a welcome.

Cleaning and declutter first. Fresh Paint and then clean some more.
Clean, clean, clean. Go through your home and remove anything that is personal, i.e. pictures, trophies, etc. Clean off all surfaces, pack away knick knacks.
