Please I need ideas!?
Recently moved into a new home, it's a trailer home. And I have this ugly wall paper, I'm wanting to paint over it of course! But as far as decorating?! I need some fresh ideas. I sort of though a set of canopy drapes would be kind of cool over the corner tub. Or maybe not? I'm so unsure... Please help. (Will post pictures soon)

I need some ideas for a mantle in a rental. The wall behind is brick, so it probably can't be completely "attached"
You can paint over wallpaper. Here's a link to get you started:

Some filmy/flowy curtains may be pretty over the tub - giving it a soft, feminine feel.

Is it wallpaper or is it the printed wall board? if it is the board you can paint over that - my sister had a mobile home and she painted every room because the print was on the wall boards then added a border -if it is wallpaper you will need to remove it for best results and then paint the walls. Sometimes painting over wallpaper you will see the lines from the paper through the paint.

hanging canopy drapes over shower is a personal preference but remember you will get mildew on them from the shower and dampness in the room so it will be a matter of taking them down and washing them, etc.
why not just get a pretty shower curtain for there? you could use fabric but use a clear liner as well which you can wash or throw out if they get too grungy.

Congrats on your new home. If you plan to be there for years, I'd rethink painting over the wallpaper. Looking forward to seeing your pictures to get a clear idea of what you're working with. Thanks!
I will wait for the pictures also for suggestions detailed just to your situation.
You can definitely paint over the "wallpaper" which is actually part of the boards. You can't peel it. I recently did some where all I did was clean the walls with TSP then painted with a good Paint & Primer from Sherwin Williams.
Once you get everything painted, think of a theme. Do you want to go boho? Shabby Chic? Farmhouse? Then start scouring for inspiration photos.
As for the drapes, make sure you have a liner first to protect them. Also, you have to consider the weight of the drapes you add. Studs in a mobile home are not as large as a traditional home and won't hold heavy weight.
Go with white wall and colorful art pictures
Please post pictures you will get lots of help
Exciting! Make sure if the wallpaper is the traditional kind and not wallboard that you make sure all the edges are secure or painting over it will cause it to peel.
There are many peel and stick wallpapers out there right now that are awesome! They are repositionable and can be taken down at any time. You might want to think about taking down what you have and replacing it. Drapes sound like they may work but I would use something neutral and not too busy or it may look cluttered. Do what you love and you can't go wrong, it is your home. Trust your gut!
I have a wonderful idea! You can add a beautiful trellis to your wall like this image here. Check out more trellis ideas here!
