Vast Open Space ! What to Do About High Ceilings

I added grass cloth and molding in this space that had very high ceilings. It gives the room an illusion of a more human scale.
I also kept the palette warm to make the room feel cozy.
I also used larger scale accessories.
I also brought in weathered wood pieces and animal print, so the room feels casual and not too serious.

I just feel like I have to talk with you about this room because it's so "interesting". First I love pretty much all the furniture and accessories you have chosen but that being said, I couldn't help feeling it looks bottom heavy, do you see what I mean? I don't know what else you can really do but totally agree the railing and grass cloth help. It's such a tall empty square room. The only wall with openings has four different size and shapes which is distracting to look at. It would be a difficult room for anyone to decorate in my opinion but even with all that being said, what you did is lovely.
