Did you know that less than two weeks you can completely renovate your living and dining room? In this room renovation, we removed decade old wallpaper, painted the walls, and replaced the flooring. All of the furniture remained the same, and look what a difference it made!
First, we removed the wallpaper in both rooms.
This was the most grueling task. Having a high-quality steamer makes a huge difference, in removing all of those underneath layers. Next, the walls needed to be sanded down, and the cracks/holes filled in with dry wall compound.
Next, we removed the carpet, the padding, and the tack strips.
After that, we painted the walls a fresh color. We taped off the ceilings and chair rail.
Next, it was time to lay down the laminate flooring. This was pretty easy because the pieces fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. Last, we installed baseboard, which really tied the whole room together.
Before and Afters :)
Such a big difference!
