Get all of the details about how our kitchen remodel updated this 20-year old kitchen with Silestone's Lusso Quartz and Starmark cabinetry. Plus, our 3 regrets.

Before photos. This is the way the house looked when we bought it. The island counter top was too large for the space. The island was also too close to the wall. We had a big open space in half of the kitchen.
So we shifted the island closer to the center of the kitchen, removed the drywall pantry, and moved the stove from the island to the back wall to create more space and make the room feel so much larger.
We also knocked down the small door to the dining room and created a large archway that matched the other archway's in our home.
We also removed an old 90's light box and added more can lights.

The new stove location makes sitting at the island safe for our kids. That new stove is a bit of a splurge, (aff) but my husband loves it.

I love this flower pattern backsplash from Floor & Decor.
The room feels twice the size with the new layout.
