Dining Room Update

I love the genera layout of dining room but the colors were bland (oatmeal yuk). Took them from bland and boring to dark and dramatic!
Painted the walls and ceilings a dark moody grey. Now it has drama I was looking for. Just need the white marble floors and I am all set (LOLs, future post I guess).
I also added crystals and a lamp shade to the builder grade chandelier. 2 hours, Costs about $90. And made wall length copper curtain rods using copper piping. 1 hour, $70. But the oatmeal paint got to me. Yuk!
Then I sanded and chalk painted the oak chairs black. They looked great but the leather has cat claw marks in it so thought I might partially upholster (still not sure about this part, decided against it for now).
The I sanded, repainted, sealed the built in hutch a complimentary color, added light medallions (Lowes), curtain finials, and silver studs for added flair.
Second part: my dad and I added some wainscoting to the dominant wall. One weekend, $100.
First update was a coffered type ceiling update using Styrofoam ceiling tile. Did it all by myself with tiles, caulk, tile paste, box cuter, and a scaffold. Took a couple weekends. Cost about $200.
