How to give your kitchen a cheap but effective makeover. I managed to pull it of for free
My fiance wanted to spruce up the kitchen, so me being a skinflint, went and got permission to recover some nice rolls of unused wallpaper from a building site. I started by stripping the door and draw fronts from every cabinet front. Then I removed all the door handles and any other bits just leaving a plain wood effect front.
I lay the flat door fronts and cut the paper so as to leave enough overlap to go over the sides and into the inside of the doors. I then covered the exterior of the door front with an even coating of PVA glue. Not an excessive amount though and it seemed to do the trick using a paint brush to spread evenly. I then placed the door, PVA side down on to the reverse of the paper. Just like wallpapering a wall sort off.

I started off with the draw fronts mainly as a practice piece. Small area to have to fix should I have made a boo boo lol.
After much drying and reattachment of hardware. Hey presto!!
1 rejuvenated kitchen cupboard.Even better as it was free. ☺
