Some wood pieces just need an update, after servicing us for years they show signs of wear and tear but have lots of life left. Follow along as 2 chairs and a stool get a new look.

Here are our contestants on the paint update makeover. First step was to scrub them clean and leave to dry. The 3 tones of wood will soon be all one soft warm white color.

Both chairs were painted in Fusion Mineral Paint's warm white called Champlain. Two coats worked perfectly. The surfaces were all sanded smooth with a bit of distressing on the edges for an aged look to match others I did to go with them as a set.

Fusion Mineral Paint clear wax was applied to the seat tops for additional protection and their ageing wax was added to keep that aged rustic look. See above chair below with just clear wax and the top chair all dark waxed up.

And here they are all complete, they are perfect to be part of the farmhouse dining table set they are being added to. The stool was done on another post right HERE. The linked blog tutorial has more in depth details of this makeover too.

The dining set will have teal as the accent color so the stool in the kitchen will match perfect.
