My aunt gave me these drawers and she had did a bad paint job on them!!! So my hubby sanded them for me and I worked my magic!!!!

we used the original handles - which she also had painted!!!

I have a trick as to how I got them back to the original!! Which I will include!!

Before!!!!

let the sanding commence!!!!

And more sanding!!!!

And moreeeeeee sanding!!!!!!!

Sanding complete!!!!

now the fun starts!!!!

Using frog tape - I taped where I didn’t want any paint

Here’s the paint I used - ignore the handles as we went with the original ones!!!

I started on the side of the drawers

We had to paint the inside of the drawers as my aunty had ruined them with paint!!!

I used tape around the bottom and the sides to get a crisp line!!!

Painting the sides

Drawers painted!!

Side view!!

Making the hubby do some painting!!!!

Second coat done!!!!

Second coat on the drawers!!!

Top coat on the drawers!

Using raw silk on the legs!!!

wallpaper adhesive as we decided to add a pop of colour to the drawers

Measure the paper

Add it to the drawers and Mark them and cut to fit

Paste the back of the paper

using a tissue I rubbed the air bubbles out!

Close up of the drawers and the paper

One of my favorite parts of upcycling is removing the tape!!!!

Handles with the paint on them!

in a bowl mix baking powder and white vinegar - put it in a pot of boiling water - put the handles in let it soak for 10 mins & the paint peels off!!!!

How fab are they now they are clean!

Screw them back on and we’re done!!!!

I love how it turned out !!!!

Beautiful job. It's gorgeous. New "happy" life for a tired dresser. Great share.

Great update and the paint color is beautiful along with the pretty handles and wallpaper. Love it! I bet your aunt would like the dresser back. :)
