I love carts and all the possibilities there are with them. This little gem was a show-stopper back in the 70's when the lady I bought it from used it. It was a whopping $2! The lady kept apologizing for the top glass being broken. She tried to glue the glass back together at one point. The broken glass was not an issue and I told her I would be able to fix the cart and make it a beautiful piece again. She was happy about that.
All we had to do to make this cart a coffee bar cart was cut a piece of wood the size of the broken glass shelf.
We put the bottom glass shelf on the top and put the new wood shelf on the bottom. I stained the wood (afilink) {url=http://amzn.to/2cCOEiP] "Dark Walnut" Minwax Stain [/url] to fit the style of this bar cart.
Next, I needed to make the metal on this cart a little more glamorous. I removed the shelves and taped off all the wood on the cart. I sprayed the metal (afilink) "Bright Gold" Rustoleum spray paint .
Look at this broken cart now!!! It is gorgeous! A little spray paint and a new shelf was all it needed to bring it back to its former glory.
