While curb shopping one day my hubby found this cute cabinet just sitting there waiting to be rescued! You see him and I see good in almost all pieces we find. So we gave this little guy a go with a few simple steps. 😀
As you can see the front of the doors had nothing in them. As with any piece we started off with cleaning it with a vinegar water mixture to get all the goobies off. Then a quick light sanding. My husband took pallet pieces we had here from our stash of pallets and cut them into three small pieces and glued them together inside the door. I ended up using my Bullseye for the whole piece just using my chippy brush and lightly going over the entire piece. I kind of wanted to keep some of the rustic looking wood peeking through.
We also added these awesome silver Pull knobs.
Here's the stash of pallets we keep on hand for our art and for projects like this. I can stop chewing it's really gross
This is the primer I use on all of my projects and sometimes end up using it for just the main paint. It covers a lot of smells and prevents bleed through.
I almost always feel all of my projects with Minwax polycrylic the water-based kind.
Here is the after of the toilet paper holder 🚽

I am sorry but I am confused. The last photo doesn't look like the finished one you started with. Could you have posted them "after" first then "before" last?

    Is your Zinsser oil based?

    i. Would have to finish the inside also, it still looks like a piece of junk when you open it.

I just saw this project. Wow Bobbi Marie, I'll look forward to seeing YOUR projects.

    Beth and Spencer great idea!

It's only junk until it hits your car's trunk. Then, it's inspiration. Great job thanks for sharing.
