From Wall-mount Storage Unit to Window Seat!

I hadn't made the window seat cushion yet when this photo was taken, but wanted to share the piece. It goes to show you you CAN make just about anything from a questionable start.

I found this wall-mount storage unit on craigslist for $20. I'd been wanting a window seat for our Jack Russell, Kenai (you know. so she could SEE folks she was barking at). When I spotted this, I saw what it COULD be with a bit of work.

I added a 2x6 on the bottom on the unit, added a bit of trim around the joint area and molding/trim on the bottom and gave it new life with some antique white paint. It was in pretty bad shape, but turned out well I think. It's a great piece now with the gray cushion and bandana pillows and the fur baby calls it home.
