People have been turning to nature for inspiration to help solve problems, refresh memories, and to increase creativity for millions of years!
That is what Roberta did at Eastern Shore Chic! She wanted to duplicate the sunrise that she had saw in the morning! She chose Dixie Belle Paint to paint this outdated cabinet into a beautiful piece of art!
The first step to painting any piece of furniture is to clean with White Lightning, this is a very important step to "prepping" your piece! Cleaning is the only Prep work you need to do! White Lightning is a very powerful cleaner that will remove dirt, grease, and grime. This will allow Dixie Belle to properly adhere to your furniture's surface!
Dixie Belle Paint was formulated with high quality ingredients while taking out the need for sanding or priming, but cleaning is definitely a step you don't want to miss!
After cleaning the surface with White Lightning, you will need to wipe your piece down with a clean damp rag to rid the residue left from White Lightning!

The next step will be picking out your favorite Dixie Belle Color! With 60 AMAZING colors, the hardest step is picking just one (so pick 3 or 4)! Roberta chose Dixie Belle Paint in the colors, Bunker Hill Blue mixed with Amethyst, Plum Crazy, Peony, and Colonel Mustard.
She applied her paint with a damp paint brush to allow easy blending, some people prefer to work with a spray bottle of clean water as they work, especially when blending colors together and creating the dripping effect!
The layering process is half the fun! Dixie Belle Paint is the Easy Peasy Paint so no worries about making a mistake! It's just paint you can cover your mistakes right back up with the next color!
Lastly Roberta sealed her beautiful piece with Gator Hide, Dixie Belle's most durable top coat! With 3 thin coats applied with a DRY sponge will give your furniture a water-repellent top coat that will last a lifetime!
