My Favorite Furniture Facelift

This buffet is one of my all time favorite makeovers!
I got it for FREE!
I tell you I have recycling angels watching over me!!!
Read the story of where I got this over on my blog.

It sat in my garage, then house, like this, until we bought our new house.

At that point I was ready to commit to a color, and paint it.
It has beautiful character, details, hardware. The drawers and doors work perfectly. The only thing to do was paint it.

There is much to love with this piece.
I sanded it and painted it with Sherwin Williams - Copen Blue.

I love this color! It is perfect, goes with everything!
I wanted this piece to be ready when we moved into our new house so I did this project while also trying to pack up my house! I'm crazy, but didn't want to have to finish it while unpacking... that would be even worse!
I knew right where I wanted it in our new house and it is one of my favorite spots in the whole house!
If you follow my blog you've seen that I have thoroughly enjoyed decorating this buffet each season.

Come see how fabulous it looks in my home!

Why white? Glad you kept the original hardware.

Sometimes the wood is too far gone or doesn't match anything in your home. I would now decoupage some bird or flower center motifs on each drawer and inside the molding on the face of the doors. How about giving it a shadow of some unexpected color that's taken from the decoupage design? Rub and wipe some darker accent color in the crevices of the door moldings and drawer edges. A few more accents would elevate the style.
