No More Ugly Dining Table!

The Stonybrook House
by The Stonybrook House
We are going in a lighter and brighter direction, and this old ugly dining table and chairs does not capture that fresh new look. Check out how this table got a brand new look.
This dark dreary table needs some help. It's not the highest quality and there are rings and scratches all over it.
So, I stripped off the varnish.
Primed then sanded and then did that all over again.
I rolled on three coats of latex paint, and then the fun began!
To give the table some personality I did an easy pencil transfer of "Give Thanks" and hand painted it on.
It still needed a little more something, so I added stripes down the center to finish it off.
Aren't those stripes just beautiful? Then the entire table received three coats of polycrylic.
What a difference a little paint makes!! It looks and feels like a brand new table. I'm so pleased. It came out better than I expected, and was totally worth all the work!

Now something must be done about those chairs!
