Take a solid pecan step stool from boring to the bomb using paint.. see how

I love wood step stools. They are handy in any room. The kitchen, the bathroom, a closet, at the front door, virtually anywhere! However they really need to have some color to give them a fun pop and make them easy to find when you need them.

I chose one of my favorite colors ... teal. The paint was from House and Canvas, a Canadian paint company with real name " antique teal"

Two coats went on the entire stool, it was then sanded smooth with the edges distressed and to seal it I used Fusion Mineral Paint's ageing wax, another favorite of mine.

The dark wax catches in all the nooks and crannies and keeps it looking authentic with a farmhouse feel which is so on trend right now.

I LOVE this subtle yet gorgeous pop of color. Do you have a stool in your home begging for an update with a fun color? what is your favorite color?
