White Glazed Painted Cabinet Transformation for less than $100!
I decided to use Rustoleum Cabinet Transformations to "transform" my cabinets from stained construction grade honey oak to white, glazed Tuscan style. I (luckily) found two large pure white kits on eBay for $89!!
Cabinet transformations includes everything needed except a paintbrush, a foam brush and screwdriver. To start I removed the cabinet doors. Then to prepare them for paint I deglossed the surface with a scrub pad and the solution provided. After deglossing I wiped with a damp rag and then a dry rag. Then I painted two coats of white paint evenly onto the doors letting them dry in between. After that was dry I took a foam brush and painted glaze onto the entire surface. I used the provided cheesecloth to wipe the glaze off to get my desired effect. Lastly I painted the clear coat on the cabinet surface to protect my paint job. After they were dry I rehung and put new knobs and pulls on all the cabinets for a whole new look!
Here is a picture of the kitchen when we bought our foreclosed home. We had to tear out all the drywall but were able to save the cabinets. They had weird mystery stains on them so we HAD to do something!
Here is a picture shortly after we moved in. We painted the kitchen before the cabinets were reinstalled. You can see a better view of the staining(even though I tried to position lights in the way).

I love This! I am going for a country kitchen look and this will be great for that! I was reading through the blog but I missed the actually items you used ... could you repeat just the items please?

I used rustoleum cabinet transformations pure white kit. It comes with everything you need (cleaning solution, scrub pads, paint, glaze and cheesecloth, as well as directions ) the only things you need are a couple lint free rags, a paint brush and maybe a foam brush for the glaze. You also will need a screwdriver or drill to remove cabinet doors. Hope that helps!!
