The versatile window bench...when not in use for overwintering plants becomes extra seating......and the covering can be changed out to follow the holidays.....
Measuring out where we will cut....seems all foams sold on Amazon come at least 24 inches wide.... I only needed 12 inches so I purchased a thinner foam piece and that gave me the opportunity to double it.
After our 1st run of measuring and running a chalk line we discovered the foam piece is miss cut not a true 24 inch width.
So we remeasured with what the piece truly measured out to be.
we than reran the chalk line to mark it.
and cut with a utility knife.
then we measured the length
and cut the excess off.
then covered it with fabric....this will be the basic covering but will change it out with the seasons as well
then covered it with fabric....this will be the basic covering but will change it out with the seasons as well...it is also a no sew...I used a queen size fitter sheet tucked and used safety pins...and envelope tucking on the bottom this way i can wash or change it out easier....
A little dressed it up...viewing this though I think come nest spring I will make window boxes outside right under the window for an added look.....
