$10 Pendant Update

2 Materials
I LOVE a fun pendant light. It can be the easiest way to really bring together a space. The playroom in our new house had an old Ikea pendant left over from the old house but it wasn't the right size for the space at all. I was hoping for an update but didn't have the budget for anything too big. But then... I saw the answer to my prayers.
This old Ikea one was hanging in the room but... didn't give off nearly enough light and looked way to small.
THIS one was MUCH bigger and, if you look carefully, you'll see that it was listed for $8.99. I didn't love the plain color but don't worry about that.
Here's another look... isn't she pretty? I love basket pendants.
A coat of bright green latex paint later and isn't it so much prettier? I just loaded my paint sprayer with this green I had on hand and gave the basket light a few light coats. Took under an hour!
Here's how it looks hanging in the room. SUCH an improvement to the first version.

I really like the new pendant and how you painted the storage baskets to match! That room is huge! Plenty of light now...was the rug in the room before? I love how it ties everything together 😁!

Where did you find the basket?
