Mini Kitchen Makeover With DIY Under Cabinet Lighting

We redid our kitchen about 5 years ago and have generally been pretty happy with the result! I love the warm cabinetry and back splash paired with the earth-toned granite. It's been inviting and function, up until now.. I don't know if it was the long New England winter... or weakening eye slight as a near old(er) age - but I've found the countertop rather dark lately. My cooking can be hard to see and I've found myself on more than one occasion stooped over like a little old lady to see what I'm doing - not cool. I wanted to lighten up the area while sticking to the warm, homey atmosphere we designed when we originally redid the kitchen. Oh, and did I mention that I was given a strict budget by my DIY-hating, non-tool-welding husband?

I started with a search for DIY under cabinet lighting and - lo-and-behold! - I found this brand by BLACK+DECKER . Their cabinet lights go up without any tools, simply sticking to the underside of my cabinets. The kit I bought (for LESS than $80 mind you) came with everything I needed to route the wires and stick up the bar, plus it had a motion sensor box that allows me to control the system by simply waving my hand under the box!

Where did you get the pins and motion sensor? They aren't listed in the supply list.
