Painted Kitchen Floor

Tired of waiting to afford "real" flooring, I substituted by sponge painting it, and i love how it turned out!
First I painted it all white using Porch/Floor paint.
After it dried I sponged the gray, then the black. I then sponged more white all over to "blend" it.
2 years later and it has held up amazingly! No touch ups needed and it cleans easily. Best of all you cant tell when you've been lazy and haven't swept or mopped for a couple days!!😕 Another bonus is we actually LIVE in our house with kids and cats so I was able to do this project in sections with minimal painted socks and paws! When I was working on high


traffic areas such as kitchen entry, sink, stove etc. I used planks to step on..consisting of canned food and boards!!! I'm thinking of doing my living room, but with a more blended look, different colors.. I

  • Porch/FloorPaint in Gloss (I used Painter Select interior/exterior Gloss   (Hardware store - True Value)
  • Large sea Sponges   (Hardware store)
  • GLOVES!!   (Hardware store)
