Can I redo a countertop and sink and not have to replace it?

i have painted countertops,....and I didn’t buy a specific kit. I cleaned with tsp..sanded lightly,applied 2 coats of zinzer primer,2 coats of latex paint I had left over,2 coats of poly. Lasted years. The sink? Don’t know.but I would check habitat restores..ours have wonderful items. Lots of remodeling going on.

depends on the counter top also - if it's typical formica etc. you can COVER it with new sheets of formica (check lowes.com) I have a 4 x 8 sheet for an island I'm building - same stuff as my counters was only around $40-$50
