Hello, I'm interpreting your question as to how you can use kitchen tiles (perhaps used for a floor) and use it as a backsplash. If so, I suggest cutting the tiles into uniform pieces (you can get a simple tile cutter at a big box store at a very reasonable price). I would suggest a subway tile as it is easy to cut straight and would be a simple cut. From there, you could either use the newly cut, small tiles as your back splash. Or, you can use the newly cut tiles and paint them for a contrast to the floor (assuming it is all in the same room). Below is a link of different patterns of how to apply the newly cut tiles. I like herringbone, but it takes more time and supplies than the other ones. Post some before and after pictures-we'd love to see them. Good luck!

Do you have ties on your wall now in the backsplash area, and you want to change them to some other covering? or Do you want to install flooring tiles on the wall in the backsplash area?
