How do I give my countertop a quick, inexpensive update?

I have Formica countertop & the part that is glued on to the edges is all coming off & some parts of the top is lifting as well, I don't have the money to replace it at this time, but would like to try something else. Help.

Destany,. Fill the sink up with water. Scrape the old caulk off. Next day caluk, wait till it completely dries,. Then empty the sink. Use this for the tub also, fill it up, remove caluk, make sure it's dry. Recaulk dry completely and empty the tub. Aloha!

Most laminate counter tops are put together using contact cement. To restick it, heat your clothing iron to a low setting, and iron/press the loose areas. The heat should soften the glue enough to make it stay in place. Increase the heat setting if needed. Keep the iron moving to avoid burning the surface in 1 spot.
