How do I reface my kitchen cabinets?
They are coated with thick polyurethane! What do I do ? It seams like a daunting task ! So I have been procrastinating! Help!

Take one of the drawers to your local big box store and show it to an employee in the paint dept. they will advise you on what you need. You can always sand it but oh my! that will be quite a project but worthwhile in the end. They will look like new. You can always just do the boxes yourself and buy new faces for the cabinets. Sometimes you can get them at a resale shop. Measure twice!!
You could use a veneer to cover the cabinet frames, then add new doors. Or, you could sand and paint.
Hi. They make some great products that dissolve thick varnish from wood. Only a light sanding is necessary after.
