Remove the cabinet doors (number them so they go back in the same place). Remove the hardware. Clean doors and frames with TSP (found in the paint department). Lightly sand everything. Prime with a good primer, then paint with a quality paint. You do not want to use chalk paint as your cabinets will be cleaned more frequently and chalk paint will not hold up.
