    there are many “peel and Stick” backsplash tiles you can use that shouldn’t harm the wall when removed

    Anything you put up that peels and sticks or you have to glue it first will be a real problem if you have to take it down. Some other options are: painting faux tiles, using tin ceiling tiles (you would only have to use small nails to put this up), find some fabric you like and use spray starch to put it up, pulls right off, then just wash the walls.

    You can also put up a glass backsplash with artwork behind it. You can get little mirror clips to hold it in place for easy removal when you leave

    You could use a long piece of plexiglass ( or a board) covered with contact paper or wall paper. There are many peel and stick patterns that could be cut to fit.
