You have decided to do what?
Hi Connie, where is the tile, floor or walls? What would you like to do? Since it is an apartment, you might want to go for a peel and stick option. They have a good selection at Amazon, Home Depot and Lowes. Easy to apply and easy to remove.
Before you do anything get permission from the landlord in writing. You don't want to jeopardize your security deposit or get stuck paying for repairs.
William is correct, be sure to check with your landlord before you do anything that alters things. I've seen some cool tile stickers on Etsy, maybe those will work for you.
