There are several options. If you are looking for the easiest way and that doesn't involve grouting, Lowe's has peel and stick that looks like real glass tiles

I had a small kitchen in our former home. Budget was tight.... I did a light texture with premixed drywall compound applied with a putty knife. Let it dry, primed it and painted it a different color than the walls. Easy peasy and very inexpensive. Also, it was easy to wash because I used satin paint.

Peel and stick tiles are very pretty. I used extra vinyl stone tiles that look like stone with tiny nails you would have to hunt for and it looked better than I thought. It was something I had on hand.
