Is there a way to refinish your kitchen cabinets without taking down?

    Yes! You should remove the doors and drawer fronts and do them separately. Remove all hardware. Number each one so you know where they go when putting back. Clean, prime and paint (or stain) the cabinet boxes on the wall.

    I just clean, sand lightly and paint them, even the doors, while still up, just being careful for drips, using a roller and then good brush to smooth out. Maybe remove the knobs and pulls and be careful not to paint the hinges unless you want to have them painted. It’s a good opportunity to change knobs and pulls, in which case you may have to sand, fill and drill.
