My kitchen range hood is hideous :(

Help me out guys, I have the worlds ugliest, outdated hood over my range, the only feature of it that works is the light. I have been trying to talk my husband into remodeling our kitchen and he is finally there, but I need some ammo for awesome things to do!

If you would like to have more available countertop space, consider an over the stove microwave/light/exhaust hood combo unit. Some are also convective ovens for even more versatility.

I live in a prefabricated home, so it's 15 years old and came with the house. It hasn't worked in the 8 years since I moved in! The light works, but that's the only purpose for it anymore! I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking this an eyesore of a dinosaur!
